Mimaki launches competitively priced cutting plotters

Mimaki Engineering Co Ltd. (head office: Nagano, Japan; President: Akira Ikeda) today announces two new wide cutting plotters: CG-100SRII (cutting width:1070mm) and CG-130SRII (cutting width:1370mm). Both cutters feature new functionalities for high cutting quality thus satisfying even the most professional users at an affordable price.
Mimaki, a pioneer in cutting plotters designed for sign making and graphic arts, has always come up with new solutions to meet the various needs in the markets. In today’s competitive environment cost savings are crucial in order for businesses to prosper. Mimaki is proud to be able to contribute to these requirements by offering a new solution to meet professional needs in launching the competitively priced, yet uncompromising SRII series.
Nowadays cutting plotters are used in various industries such as cutting pre-printed transfer media for heat transfer of fashionable designs to apparel and cutting decals and stickers in combination with inkjet printers. CG-SRII series enables these cuttings with its original high-speed continuous crop mark detection function for precise contour cutting of nested images. Mimaki’s unique Half-cut function provides for cutting of the backing sheet, leaving only a few connection points, which hold the image in place. When finished the backing sheet can be easily detached.
Even at an affordable price, the CG-SRII series does not compromise on cutting quality. The machine is equipped with the new RSC (Real time Stroke Control) function and Over-cut function. The RSC function detects cutting strokes during cutting and adjusts the strength of the strokes, thus maintaining constant cutting pressure. The Over-cut function overlaps start and end point thus eliminating uncut portions of the media.
Included are FineCut 7 Plug-in cutting software for CorelDRAW and Illustrator for professional sing making and SimpleCut, an easy-to-use application software.
